Katy Melchiorre received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, she served as a Teaching Assistant for Trial Practice, Legal Writing, and Appellate Advocacy. Ms. Melchiorre was a distinguished member of the University of Florida Journal of Law and Public Policy, both elected to serve as Executive Articles Editor and Bylaws Chair. She also received the Book Award in Legal Research, Pro Bono Service Certificate, and was on the Dean’s List. Prior to joining the firm, she served as a law clerk for the Eighth Judicial Circuit of Florida. Prior to law school, Ms. Melchiorre received a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunication and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
Ms. Melchiorre focuses her practice primarily defending clients in Personal Injury Protection (PIP) and First Party Property litigation. Additionally, Ms. Melchiorre has experience assisting auto insurance carriers by conducting Examinations Under Oath.
In her free time, Ms. Melchiorre enjoys spending time with her husband and two cats, running, and cheering for the Florida Gators and Philadelphia sports teams.
