Dutton Law Group Supports WIND2024 Conference as a Sponsor and Speaker

Dutton Law Group is pleased to continue its commitment to the 2024 Windstorm Insurance Conference as a Silver Sponsor. The event will be held at the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida from Monday, January 29 to Thursday, February 1, 2024.

The 2024 WIND conference features 40 educational breakout sessions, as well as networking opportunities for property and windstorm insurance claims professionals. Up to 1,200 claims adjusters, risk managers, engineers, attorneys, and contractors are expected to attend.

“The Florida Legislature adopted significant insurance reform laws in 2022 and 2023 that claims professionals need to understand,” notes Scott Dutton. “I invite Windstorm registrants to attend my educational session entitled Post-2022 Legislation and Post Hurricane Ian: Where Are We Now?”

This informative seminar lead by Scott Dutton will take place on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST in the Crystal Ballroom. It is approved for two CE / CLE credits. Co-presenters on the panel include:

Seminar attendees will learn about rapid changes that are taking place in the Florida market for residential and commercial property insurance as a result of legislative actions, hurricanes, and precedent-setting court rulings. This panel of Florida insurance experts—including both a defense and plaintiff attorney, a catastrophic loss adjuster, an engineer, and an insurance policy specialist—will help audience members understand current market dynamics in regard to underwriting, insurance adjusting, claims evaluation, and dispute resolution techniques.

Topics addressed in this session will include recent Senate bills, roof claims, assignment of benefits (AOB), damage assessments, filing deadlines, attorney fees, bad faith claims, licensing requirements for appraisers, and more. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the latest Florida insurance laws and emerging trends to help them perform their jobs more effectively.
