O. Oliver Wragg

For more than 20 years, Mr. Wragg has represented the interests of litigants as a trial lawyer and litigator including 50 jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts. Early in his career, he worked on the Hurricane Andrew class-action lawsuits that resulted in improved building code requirements throughout Miami-Dade County and later co-authored one of the amicus briefs that lead to the seminal Florida Supreme Court decision on punitive damages, W.R. Grace & Co. — Conn. v. Waters, 638 So. 2d 502 (Fla. 1994). His jury trial experience includes PIP, products liability, construction defect and medical malpractice cases and he has argued workers compensation and municipal law cases at the appellate level. Prior to joining Dutton Law Group he worked for a dozen years as in-house counsel defending personal injury protection lawsuits in South Florida, ground zero for fraudulent PIP claims. He has authored two articles about PIP for the Dade County Bar Association Bulletin: “Review of New PIP Statute,” in June, 2012, and “Custer’s Last Stand? Florida Supreme Court Considers PIP Examinations Under Oath” in January, 2013.

His high standards for ability, ethics, professionalism and integrity have earned an him an AV Preeminent rating from his peers in the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory.

He graduated cum laude in 1992 from the University of Miami School of Law where he served on the Moot Court Board, was a member of the 1991 State Moot Court Team and was Articles and Comments Editor of the Entertainment and Sports Law Review. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia and Massachusetts as well as the federal 11th Circuit Court of Appeals and federal trial courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia and District of Massachusetts. He is a member of the Florida Bar’s Trial Lawyers Section and a past member of the Board of Directors for the Dade County Bar Association.

A native South Floridian, he is a PADI-certified Divemaster and Vice President of the Underwater Bar Association (“DiveBar”), a 501(3)(c) non-profit composed of legal professionals that promotes education and awareness about coral reefs and the marine environment through scuba diving, philanthropic activities, and learning experiences.
